NEW MASTERED Never heard song!

When I thought I'd heard every Rustic song there ever was, I stumbled across this live track. I have no idea what it is! It's either a cover song, or a Rustic Overtones original that has only been played ONCE (to my knowledge).

It was recorded on their last date of their tour before they went in to record Viva Nueva. Does someone know what song this is?

I mastered a nice sounding copy for all of you to enjoy!

DOWNLOAD Last Nights Band!

Rustic Overtones decided to allow fans to download "Last Nights Band" for free! They have it on their MySpace page, but I also wanted to add it to my archive, you can download using the link below.

Message from Spence: "Last Night's Band" is a post 'Rooms By The Hour' track that we recorded with Jonathan Wyman back in 1998. We like the recording, but didn't feel like it fit the new record's playlist. Jon Roods though you all ought to have it anyway. He's a nice guy, so enjoy!"

NEW Live Mastered Material!

Many of you have heard the original recordings of Peter Gabriel's "Sledgehammer" performed by Rustic Overtones, as well as Huey Lewis and The News' song "I Want A New Drug".

For those of you not familiar with mastering, it's the most important part in audio production these days, besides the actually recording.

A "Final Recorded Mix" doesn't cut it for cd, tv, radio or any type of entertainment standards for that matter. That's where mastering comes in. It makes the song sound HUGE, more balls you could say. I'm glad to have mastered these amazingly mixed tracks by Mike Madio for all the Rustic fans, and members to hear. Enjoy!

p.s. I'd also like to thank our forum member "darek" for hooking up the converted mp3's!! Also, make sure to download the original unmastered files as well, so you can actually HEAR the difference between the unmastered vs mastered!

Possible new album art?

Is this some new artwork for their new CD? It looks like they're going down their old school route, which I'm excited about. Reminds me a lot of their old albums that Pat Corrigan designed for them. He always had an amazing imagination, as well as spectacular work to prove it.

Patrick Corrigan (below) has been Rustics art designer for almost every album they've done. Pat also makes amazing oil paintings that are out of this world! He has a painting called "Molecules" that has a lot of cells from Rustics album "Viva Nueva". It would only make sense that they would use his talent for their next album.

Old live recordings...

Here are some live recordings of unreleased Rustic Overtones material that will be on their new album. You will need WINAMP or a SHN player to play these files. The recording quality is A+. Downside is you cannot fast forward, or rewind! You can get a SHN to MP3 converter if you would like to. These recordings are from 1999, thank you to everyone who helped preserve this great moment in history!

Download WINAMP, THEN INSTALL THIS PLUGIN and you'll be able to listen to these songs!

The songs, for some reason are 25 megs or more. I don't understand this, however they are amazing quality. I hope you all enjoy!

Click the links below to start downloading the files!
NOTE: The host only allows you to download two files at a time per IP address. Please only have two downloading files at a once
